It might seem odd to have the words, “Wilderness” and “Grace,” together as the title for a blog, but for the past forty years this is exactly where I have lived. Harsh and foreign, at first, it was a place where I felt God was deeply angry with me. For He had a definite right to be as I had not been a faithful and loyal follower of Jesus. But over time, I have come to know this as a place of blessing. Just as the Lord was visibly with the Israelites in the wilderness as a pillar of fire by night and as a pillar of cloud by day, He has been and is with me as I have walked through His discipline of grace. He never leaves or forsakes us and will always search for that one lost sheep until He has found it.
